I wanted to visit daddy in Haifa and on the way to enjoy in a good restaurant. So Dad said he knew a really good restaurant, one that could represent the city of Haifa with dignity, Venya Bistro by Chef Michael Gertofsky.
So if Dad says, Dad knows. We arrived at the restaurant, sat down in a nice place inside and started feeding our eyes with the tempting dishes on the menu. We built an interesting meal together with our waiter and all we have left is to colm our hunger and wait in anticipation for all the good that will come.
We started with Focaccia From The Oven (28 NIS), with olives, cherry tomatoes and garlic. The focaccia was prepared on the spot and like any quality carb did not disappoint me. #yammmmm

Then came one dish from the special menu, cute Zucchini Salad. The zucchini came hot, the cheese lift it up, and the herbs around it were great. #yammmmm

We continued with an Arabian Taco (64 NIS) with fish kebab, leek, labane cheese and delicious leaves. A stunning dish that was finished very quickly. We expirienced some special flavors that made us want to recognize in every bite why it is so delicious to us. The combination of the refreshing herbs, labane, fish and the focaccia that hold everything together was perfect. #yammmmm

Fish Carpaccio (58 NIS), with basil, oregano, chili and olive oil. Overall a good dish. In general, I think that we tasted enough ceviche and carpaccio in our life, but it was a good dish with a fresh fish that I can appreciate. #yammmmm

Spicy Spaghetti With Shredded Fish (86 NIS), with tomatoes, capers and basil. An excellent main course, with fish pieces that are made in the right size, handmade pasta that I really appreciate and spicy flavors that match all the ingredients in the dish. #yammmmm

Handmade Gnocchi (72 NIS) which in my opinion was a little bit heavy and maybe less special than the other dishes on the menu. But, I was able to feel the freshness of the gnocchi prepared on the spot, and it was great. #yammmmm

Margarita Pizzeta (49 NIS), with tomatoes, mozzarella and basil. Kind of perfect pizza, reasonably sized for distribution, with stunning dough made on the spot (completely noticeable) and special flavors of parmesan, mozzarella and basil. #yammmmm

We finished with cute desserts, wasn't exactly what I expected after such an amazing meal. Naama's Crack Pie (44 NIS) and Pistachio Tart (42 NIS). #yammmmm
The crack pie was as delicious as crack pie should be. The pistachio tart was too sweet and too heavy to finish the meal with (actually, maybe it's our fault, who orders so many dishes?).
