I do not know which of you remember, but I started a kind of chase after the restaurants that went into the 50 Best rating. I started with the Basta, I continued with George and John, and now it's time for Pescado's restaurant, by Chef Yehi Zino. Kosher fish restaurant. It's also the first to open my category to restaurants in the South, and it's doing it along with entering my personal Top Yam list. So yes, the celebration is big, for me of course.
The menu is all about fish, in all sorts of variations, together with some that we already seen but there were also many that have not yet. The food is simple, but smart, creative, and really tasty.
Dolev and I arrived hungry, so we started with Bread (22 NIS), a Spicy Tomato Salad (44 NIS), and Tahini (18 NIS). Three things that calmed our stomachs and helped us start the real meal when we are mentally ready for whatever is to come. The bread of course stayed with us for the rest and it was very necessary. #yammmmm
Hot Sashimi (55 NIS), salmon sashimi with soy, boiling sesame oil, raw tahini and green onions. The sesame oil seems to have cooked the salmon a bit, and its combination with the tahini was special and interesting and added a fun warmth to the mouth. #yammmmm

Tuna on Challah (58 NIS), with eggplant in mayonnaise, chili oil and roasted pepper. A dish I fell in love with. It is simply stunning, a soft challah, topped with a delicious and juicy slice of tuna with mayonnaise that softens everything and slightly spicy flavors. Tasty. #yammmmm

California Sashimi (NIS 78), sea fish with avocado, California salad, and green Tabasco. The salad placed on top was spicy, and every bite with the salmon, the avocado and a slice of fish was stunning. Although we have already seen the combination of fish and avocado, the salad that was added to the plate managed to refresh this version a bit. #yammmmm

Monzek Cubes (77 NIS), with tahini, onion, hyssop and spinach leaves. Wow what a great dish, especially if you have left with bread from before. Soft flavors of tahini and at the same time sweet flavors of onion. #yammmmm

Simple Sea Bass, what a great dish. The pieces come wrapped in this pleasant and so-called simple sauce but they remain fresh, juicy and full of a Mediterranean flavor that is pleasant to get in the mouth. #yammmmm

Here it comes to our table, the famous Wing dish, wrapped in green Tabasco. It comes fried, with the meat of the fish remaining insanely tender on the inside and along with the crispy crust created from the frying and spiciness of the Tabasco it is a real wow in the mouth. #yammmmm

We ordered the Copacabana dessert (48 NIS), a quarter of a pineapple topped with coconut sorbet and a nougat crunch. Wow what a dessert to finish the meal with. Every bite is accurate in sweet, and accurate in freshness. #yammmmm

Wow, a restaurant I will probably return to very soon, because I feel like I have a lot more to taste and that there are still dishes waiting for me that I must try.
