To this day I have talked about a few restaurants in the north-central area that are worth a visit, but this time I will talk about a really good one, Nishi Restaurant (the twin sister of Kiso Restaurant). A restaurant that is part of a very successful restaurants group like Bar Italia, Pomo, and more. This is a very high quality Asian restaurant that I have visited so many times and really never was disappointed, just left hungry for more. So if you are looking for a nice place for dinner, with good service and delicious food this is the place totally.
This time I have compiled a list of some dishes that are totally worth a try when you arrive, but of course the menu is full of good things so do not hesitate to try more things that sound yam to you.
In the starters area has the Panipuri Spicy Salmon (58 NIS). Crispy fried dough filled with spicy salmon, coriander lassi and crispy Indian chips. We put a bit of the sauce into the Panipuri and take a delicious, soft and crunchy bite of all the ingredients together. #yammmmm
Nams (68 NIS), a dish of Vietnamese spring roll stuffed with chicken breast, vegetables and glass noodles. Come with iceberg lettuce, fresh leaves, chili sauce and palm sugar caramel. I ate Vietnamese Spring Roll in Vietnam itself, it was indeed thinner and smaller in dimensions but Nishi's spring roll is the best dish in the first course. Take the roll, place it on a lettuce leaf, add some coriander, mint and chili, dip in the sauce and give a full bite in a stunning explosion of flavors. #yammmmm
Agedashi Tofu (54 NIS), crispy tofu cubes in a soy and dashi sauce with radish, nameko, ginger, white sesame seeds, green onion and nori seaweed. Anyone who loves the original version of the agedashi tofu will surely love this version as well. Just make sure that every unit of tofu you put in your mouth is wrapped in a sauce so that the taste will be a real yam. #yammmmm
We also decided to order a dish from the bun section. Crispy Fish Bun (58 NIS), a dish of Sea bass in herb tempura, charred eggplant and yuzu aioli, pepper cream, shallot, iceberg lettuce, hot chili, coriander and mint. The bun was very soft and its combination with the crispy fish was stunning and full of delicious contrasts. #yammmmm
We also moved to the sushi area with 3 rolls of 8 pcs on the waitress' recommendation. Good sushi rolls, with fresh fish and combinations that work great in the mouth. But it is important to note that the menu has a large variety of good sushi rolls.
Out of Control (66 NIS), a roll of spicy tuna, tempura flakes and avocado wrapped in avocado, tuna and tempura flakes. Mizumi Roll (66 NIS), a roll of asparagus, avocado and shiitake mushrooms wrapped in sea bass, tuna, avocado and salmon sashimi. Decorated with wasabi aioli. 8 pcs. Fish & Chips Roll (62 NIS), sea bass in tempura, spicy mayonnaise, cucumber and green onion coated in sweet potato flakes. Served with tartar sauce. #yammmmm
We will finish with some delicious desserts. Caramel Hazelnut Chocolate (48 NIS), dark chocolate mousse, hazelnut cookie, crunch pearls, caramelized popcorn and hazelnut drizzle. A variety of special textures, which the truth will not suit every palate, but my palate they went through great because I really like the original flavors that exist here. As always I would recommend eating with a spoon. #yammmmm
Crème Brule (44 NIS), semi-frozen English cream, touches of Japanese green tea, raspberry and cassis sauce. The initial thought is that is just crème Brule, so we've seen and tasted it already. But it must be said that it is forbidden to leave the restaurant without enjoying this dessert. You get a plate on which are placed Brule balls attached to sticks, so that each diner has his own Brule ball, which is a bit frozen, so it's like a special ice cream that is happily dipped in raspberry sauce and ends our meal with stunning flavors. Yam. #yammmmm
It's a #yammmmm
