After two months of waiting, I finally arrived at the Italian restaurant Cicchetti with my cute friends, Orya and Sapir. The chef of the restaurant is Michael Gertofsky, who I have already been in one of his restaurant in Haifa, Venya Bistro (it was also excellent and of course I wrote about it on my blog).
We arrived at the restaurant, sat down at first in the covered terrace, not recommended if you are less than 4 people, it's very crowded. So we asked to pass to the bar of the restaurant which was nice. There was a good and warm vibes, and the service was also great. So there are no complaints.
We got menus, as in my previous post, I liked the division into categories, it made my life easier. We selected the most prominent stars from each category and got started.
We started with starters, Creamy Soft Burrata (54 NIS), with artichokes, spinach, and pine nuts. A dish with very Mediterranean flavors. The burrata was not soft enough, we wanted it to disperse to our plate quickly but that is not exactly what happened. The artichokes were a sour and tasty addition and the pine nuts gave the contrast. #yammmmm

Corn Polenta (52 NIS), rich polenta from fresh corn, with mushrooms and parmesan. A warm, pleasant and very comforting dish. To me polenta is a really good dish or a real disaster, and here luckily I got the good flavors of the dish. #yammmmm

We switched to the salads\greens section with Panzanella (52 NIS), a kind of salad with grilled bread, mozzarella di buffalo, onions, herbs, and red wine vinegar. A cute dish, not special, but with good flavors. Some of the tomatoes came a little hard and in general it's a dish that is hard to expand on, nice. #yammmmm

Roasted Beets (49 NIS), with endive leaves and goat cheese. We need to make sure with every bite we have beets and cheese and then it's stunning. From restaurant to restaurant I discovered how delicious and special this combination of beets and cheese is. Here too we experienced it and got a dish that is yam. #yammmmm

We arrived for starters with fish, ordered the Sicilian Carpaccio Di Pesce (62 NIS), which came with fresh tuna, pistachios, pine nuts, onions, chili, and olive oil. There are no loves like my loves for tuna, excellent dish, the fish was very fresh, the pistachios and pine nuts provided me with the crunch I owed in the dish and I really enjoyed eating it all together on the spoon. #yammmmm

Sea fish tartare (62 NIS), with greater amberjack, herbs, mascarpone, roasted almonds and olive oil. Dill lovers, this is your dish. Its taste was felt and bounced the dish into a light and delicate vibes along with the freshness of the fish and the touches of the mascarpone. Yam. #yammmmm

We switched to pasta dishes with Ricotta Tortellini (72 NIS), with fresh pasta, spinach, home made ricotta, peas, and sun dried tomatoes. You can also order the dish as a first course at a cost of 56 NIS. We chose to go for the dish as a main so we could enjoy more, because it's totally a pleasure that ends too quickly. The tortellini was soft but despite its softness and delicious filling it got deep flavors of the parmesan and peas, and provided a fun contrast to the tortellini filling. No doubt feel like they know how to work with dough, an excellent dish. #yammmmm

Gnocchi Verde (68 NIS), with asparagus, homemade pesto, spinach leaves, pine nuts, cream and parmesan. The gnocchi was very soft, and the asparagus a little hard, so there could not have been a more exact match to the taste we got. Amazing. #yammmmm

We finished the meal with a dessert of Panna cotta and pine nuts (36 NIS), the name does not imply much, but the waitress promised that it is special and worthwhile dessert. The dish came with a surprising, clean, very minimalist look. Once we put the spoon in we dived into delicate and refreshing flavors with a twist of the sweet caramel and a fascinating play of textures and crunch that the pine nuts provided us. Very much yam. #yammmmm

It's a #yammmmm
