Cafe Europa

I decided to have a nice restaurant dinner with my mommy, and on the same time to enjoy at a restaurant I had not been to yet, so we drove together to Cafe Europa in Tel Aviv.


The restaurant owned by chef Sharon Cohen, a chef who also proudly conducts the yam of the Shila restaurant (I missed it). When recently he accompanies Yarden Shay, the chef who leads the cuisine of Cafe Europa. She is known to us as half of the "Shay and Mashid" couple in the MKR show. But it's been a long time since, and for those who have forgotten she totally knows the job.


So we arrived to restaurant. Got to our hands the tempting menu, and it was everything we needed to start the evening.


We started with a Fish Tartare (71 NIS), with gazpacho, chili, coriander, mint and a seeds cracker. The gazpacho at the bottom of the plate was perfect, full of delicious sour flavors that blended perfectly with the tartare. We broke the cracker, while we make sure that with each bite we had all the ingredients on spoon, and so we enjoyed the softness, the sourness, but also the crunchiness that I love so much. Remember, you must eat it with a spoon! the best recommendation you will get, promises. #yammmmm

Fish Crudo (72 NIS), tuna and hamachi sashimi on ice, with yuzu sauce and fish sauce. Dreamy and fresh sashimi dipped in a precise sauce. I;m in love with sashimi, don't know how else to describe the freshness I had in my mouth. Wow. #yammmmm

To my delight there was also a specials menu, so it was clear to me that we must order at least one dish from it . We chose to order Spinach and Ricotta Aniloty (72 NIS), with homemade ricotta and Maggie tomato confit. The dough was a little thick, but the tomato confit that came with the dish was an accurate addition. You should take each aniloty with a piece of tomato on top, delicious. #yammmmm

To my delight there was also a specials menu, so it was clear to me that we must order at least one dish from it . We returned to the restaurant menu with Sun-Dried Tomato Gnocchi (129 NIS) with fish stock and vegetables plus fish fillet. This is the most delicious gnocchi I have ever eaten. So soft and smooth, and the ingredients matched to it were also perfect, insane. We made sure to spread the fish fillet well on the plate, and with every bite we got a fish that was made excellently, dreamy gnocchi and stunning artichokes. Yam. #yammmmm

We returned to the restaurant menu with Sun-Dried Tomato Gnocchi (129 NIS) with fish stock and vegetables plus fish fillet. This is the most delicious gnocchi I have ever eaten. So soft and smooth, and the ingredients matched to it were also perfect, insane. We made sure to spread the fish fillet well on the plate, and with every bite we took we got a fish that was made excellent, dreamy gnocchi and stunning artichokes. Yam. yuvi yam. cafe europa

Mixed Grilled Fish (63 NIS), with pita bread, sheep yogurt sauce, herbs, onions, sumac, and cucumber. 2 pieces of mini pita with excellent seasoned fish, vegetables that added contrast to the whole thing and yogurt that gave life and freshness to the dish. loved it. #yammmmm


For the dessert we chose to order the Charlie Tart (52 NIS), a dessert of cocoa crispy dough, with chocolate and nut ganache, hazelnut praline and whipped cream. A so-called simple dish at first glance, even the first bite can easily be misleading. But once you make sure the "Spoon Law" (all the ingredients together in every bite) you get a combination of quality chocolate, hazelnut for contrast and a little salty from the sauce at the bottom. Super sophisticated and special dessert. #yammmmm
