In the Hadera-Netanya area, it is very difficult for me to find good restaurants, let alone chef restaurants. So as soon as the rumor came that there was a new chef restaurant in the area, I did not hesitate and booked a table at NOMI.
The vibe in the restaurant is really nice, warm, cozy, rustic, and also the table we got was in my opinion great (near the wall/window).
We sat down, got menus of wine and food, and started the celebration. The menu is a bit limited, geared towards the world of sharing is caring, just the way I like it. There is no real definition for a first or main course but more of a small or large portion. So we ordered a glass of wine and got started.
First came the Bread (32 NIS) baked on the spot, arrived hot, soft and really tasty, with a chickpea dip that is hard to say no to. #yammmmm
We continued with a dish from the specials menu of Spinach Stalks (36 NIS) which mainly includes spinach, olive oil and parmesan. It was a little redundant and greasy to me. I would have preferred to try more special dishes from the menu. #yammmmm
It was followed by a portion of Burned Cucumber Sashimi (NIS 78) with almonds, lime and Louisa oil. A dish that is a one big wow. Who would have believed that cucumbers could be so delicious. They gave them such a unique treatment with spicy and almond flavors that blended perfectly with the sashimi (which was very fresh), cucumber and yogurt. It is a must to put together a bite that combines all the ingredients of the dish to understand its power. So delicious. #yammmmm
It was joined by Sabnh Risotto (69 NIS), with Arabian spinach, shanklish, burnt sage and olive oil. I'm in love with risotto, fantasizing about risotto, dreaming of risotto and how much fun that it was delicious. It is important to note that it comes with sour flavors that I really liked but you should definitely like sour. #yammmmm
We moved to the meat area with Beef Tartare (41 NIS), on a blush cracker, aioli and miso. The cracker was as crispy as I like and the onions added to the dish were a great addition to the tartare. It was tasty but maybe a little simple. #yammmmm
We finished with a Skewer of Lamb Shank (98 NIS), with tomatoes, hot pepper and mint. We asked it to come without the butter and yogurt, and maybe that's why it came a little too well done unfortunately, but it came with a very tasty challah that took all the flavors from it and contributed greatly to the dish. #yammmmm
It's a #yammmmm
