After visiting Haachim restaurant, I waited to get to Dok restaurant as well. A restaurant I heard endless recommendations and great reviews about, which made my curiosity get higher and higher.
I got to the restaurant, the waiter came to talk about the menu, we asked for recommendations like average diners, but the waiter was really surprised by the request, so we ordered on our own what looked nice on the menu and set off.
We started with Local Durum Sourdough Bread (14 NIS), with black eggplant cream, olive oil and tomato. Very hard bread, not one I would want to open the meal with or have with all the other dishes, and the dips were nice. #yammmmm

Mahi Mahi Sashimi (71 NIS), with pesto, green garlic, clementine cream and bean peel. An excellent dish, with a variety of flavors, especially a very special mandarin taste. In each piece of sashimi we enjoyed a different sauce on a plate, of course a bite of them all together is also stunning. You can also take the hard bread from before and try to soften it with the sauces, which is actually nice. #yammmmm

Pickled Spanish Mackerel (65 NIS), with potato salad, sour cream and fresh horseradish. I really like special flavors, but the taste of the horseradish didn't let any other flavor get to my mouth. A taste that a little of it could gave me a lot, and maybe also the ability to enjoy all the other ingredients in the dish. Indeed, the Spanish Mackerel was stunning and the potato salad was soft and comforting, especially when combined with the sour cream. #yammmmm

Gnocchi in Roman style (49 NIS), with whipped cream and dry yogurt. It came very soft, comforting and warm, and actually the best version I have experienced from this dish to date. But the cream was very heavy, and it wasn't so flattering to the dish. #yammmmm

At this point we were waiting for a sirloin salad. But we still thought to ourselves what else we would order. There were no recommendations, and the menu we did not know how to imagine, but luckily the waitress at the table next to us warmly recommended the kohlrabi dish, thank you, an excellent dish. A dish of Charcoal-Roasted Kohlrabi (44 NIS), with Hameiri cheese, sesame seeds, thyme and hot pepper. The kohlrabi came burnt on the outside and very soft on the inside. The cheese was light and salty and we got the best dish in the whole meal. Spoonful of a soft kohlrabi piece, salted cheese and thyme leaves, and yam. #yammmmm

Immediately afterwards came the Charcoal-Roasted Sirloin Salad (71 NIS), with pomelo salad, fennel, spicy and doa. The sirloin slices were hard and less chewy. But the pomelo brought life to the salad and all the seasoning and combination of the fennel was stunning and provided the interest we needed in this meal. So take out the sirloin and it's a great dish. Not ideal but it's a hot recommendation. #yammmmm
